Snow Day!

I'm enjoying watching the snow from my window. I'm from Texas where its in the 70s right now, so I really don't know how to drive or function outside right now. I like to stay inside and just watch.
It finally feels like Christmas to me. I've been making gifts all day in my workshop. There's lots to do around here!!

Christopher Bettig
I am feeling very inspired by the work of Christopher Bettig today. In fact I think I may have a design crush.

His design aesthetic aligns with the some of the stuff I've been wanting to experiment with lately- mostly using the sewing machine with found paper and scraps. I love the wallets at the top. They can be purchased over at Pocketo. The use of negative space in the middle piece is quite graceful and powerful.

Corner Forest
I've seen this beautiful photo making its way around the blogosphere, and I wanted to share it. Yuken Teruya is the mastermind behind this wonderful idea, and it just goes to show that you do not have to spend money to make beautiful art. Everything you need is around you already.
