I'm loving the modern embroidery work of MiniatureRhino.
The "x" pattern motif is so gorgeous and the little golden accents are balance it all out. You can tell it was well thought out and well executed, not to mention her packaging is really cool. I love the little rhino wax seal! Check out her blog here.

Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie
I'm a complete sucker for stop motion so this music video really caught my attention. It's so simple, beautiful and entertaining. I think it would have been fun to choreograph it all. Check it out! Oren Lavie's voice is really soothing as well.

No more bubble wrap
It's functional and it looks pretty too! I hope this idea really catches on. I want to buy a die that I could use at home and make my own recycled packing materials for my etsy shop.

Postalco
This is the most handsome stationary I've seen in a long time. The pattern is inspired from traditional Japanese geometry. Everything seems so well considered and well made. Check out Postalco here. They have many more accessories to offer.

Kordula Kuppe Ceramics
You may know what a sucker I am for patterns, so I just fell in love with these vessels. It is so delightful to see the different patterns playing together on a nice bright white background. Brought to us by artist, Kordula Kuppe.

Paper Sculpture
These paper sculpture installations by Susan Benarcik are so amazing. I love how she was able to make something precious out of old scraps of paper. I saw this via inhabit.
On a related note:
This was a project I made out of torn strips of paper stacked on top of one another to form a really cool texture and an even more cool sound when you run your fingers across it. I made this awhile back when I was working for paper company. I saved up little scraps of paper that were headed for the trash for a few months. After I had ALOT of paper I knew I had to do something. I brainstormed for awhile until I came up with this stacking method. I wish I had time to make a whole series of these, but it was soooooo time consuming.

Etsy Love
Beautiful affordable art by Trampoline.
Check out these gorgeous collaged Polaroids by trampoline. The muted color palette and subtlety of it all is really nice. They remind me of afternoon light coming in through my window. I first saw these via poppytalk.I love the graphic nature of this sweater and the quiet colors. And how cool is that pocket?! Check out more designs at the artist's etsy shop, Replica.

Handmade Holidays
This past Christmas I made all of my gifts which was alot of work and alot of fun. I made this stuffed mouse for one of my nieces. I think it turned out pretty nice considering this is the first mouse I've ever made. The grey is cashmere wool sweater scraps and the patterned accent is from upholstery swatch pieces that I got for dirt cheap. It was really cute to watch my niece kiss it on the nose over and over again.
Man On Wire
Just finished watching Man On Wire, a documentary about tight rope dancer Philippe Petit. It's the kind of thing that gives you shivers down your spine and raises your blood pressure a little. There is so much passion and drive inside of one tiny little man. It was really inspirational to watch him play on his rope. I wish I had that kind of intensity. It was very foggy the day he walked between the towers which made it even more beautiful and surreal.
