Instead of participating in the black friday hullabaloo, I made this bowl. My uncle Robert was kind enough to invite me into his wood working studio and teach me how to turn a wooden bowl using a lathe. There are many similarities to making clay bowls, but the techniques take some getting used to. My hand isn't that stead yet. Nonetheless, I think the finished bowl turned out really nice for my first try. I am visiting my folks right now in Texas, and it is nice to get away from the city and just chill with the fam. All of my nieces and nephews are sooo cute!
