Paper Sculpture

These paper sculpture installations by Susan Benarcik are so amazing. I love how she was able to make something precious out of old scraps of paper. I saw this via inhabit.

On a related note:
This was a project I made out of torn strips of paper stacked on top of one another to form a really cool texture and an even more cool sound when you run your fingers across it. I made this awhile back when I was working for paper company. I saved up little scraps of paper that were headed for the trash for a few months. After I had ALOT of paper I knew I had to do something. I brainstormed for awhile until I came up with this stacking method. I wish I had time to make a whole series of these, but it was soooooo time consuming.
