I bought a new toy to play with and I have gone punch happy. I had a bunch of tiny paper sample swatches that I have been holding onto for 2 years. Well I know what to do with then. I think I will make more greeting cards with the my beautiful circles.

Portland Farmers Market

I'm enjoying the colors and patterns of the produce at Portland's farmers market. I especially love the greens and subtle purples in the artichoke hearts. When in doubt, look to mother nature for color inspiration!
It has been soooo hot here that I haven't had the energy to much of anything. That is one of the main reasons I've been neglecting my blog. I'm trying to make it through this week and then I'm headed for the beach to cool off. Hopefully things will be back to normal next week.

Catherine Stack

I'm feeling very inspired by the intricate artwork of Catherine Stack that explores all the little lines that make up our skin. The density of pattern is incredible. I truly admire her patience.
I Heart Portland!

I am totally in love with this image and the patience it took to create it. It was made by Jonathan H. Liu for a children's heart auction. It's very easy to fall in love with Portland during the summer. I feel really grateful to live here.
I'm totally impressed with the artist's mad etch a sketch skills. Very cool!

Handmade Eco Envelopes
I've been an envelope making fool lately! They are very addicting because they are quick and require very little brain power. I've been very scatter brained lately, unable to focus on anything. I guess they are a meditative craft for me. The other thing thats cool about these envelopes, is seeing how the compositions change as you fold the paper. Most of the time it ends up more interesting than it started out. Here are a few I made out of a paper sample book laying around.

Connecting the Dots
This is a summery light hearted polka dot line structure pattern that I've been exploring in my fused plastic bags and now with a handmade card (for my mom). The dots were made with scrap paper laying around the studio. I'm a bit of a paper whore so I have lots to choose from!

Eco Laptop Sleeve
This is one of my latest custom creations for a customer in Germany. I like the way it turned out so I wanted to share.

Back in Action
Hooray for non-lame stamps!

Just returned from my trip to Texas and I'm back to my normal blogging scedule. I really love what yellow owl workshop is doing with their stamp sets. I like the loose illustration style and the cute packaging they come in. Check out their website they really have a lot of cool products that I'm putting on my wish list. Here is their blog which is packed with interesting things.
