Giveaway: 2012 Screen Printed Desk Calendar

This calendar is an homage to all the beautiful flora I saw while backpacking through Southeast Asia this past year. When I got home, I translated my best photographs into graphic paper cuts for each month. The back of each calendar is a postcard, so they each serve a dual purpose.

Leave a comment below telling me what you like about the calendar to enter a drawing to win it. A winner will be chosen Dec. 9 th at 10pm.

The chipboard packaging doubles a stand for the calendar (see below). You just have to put the tabs through the outer slits to create a shelf for the print. This feature of the calendar is very important to me because I have been using plastic cases in the past that were cheaply made. This solution is completely compostable/recyclable.

Well, to begin with, I like the fact that this calendar set was inspired by my region (South East Asia, I am from Malaysia!) Many of the images remind me of my parents' garden at home :) But apart from that I love the warm earthy tones, and the simplicity of the white designs! January is my favourite :) Have a wonderful 2012!

Stuck in the office all day, I'd love this beautiful reminder of the natural world. And when the month is over...I can share that lovely artwork with a friend by post!

Your work is so beautiful. I know just the person who would appreciate your art and it would make a great gift for him...that is, unless I decide to keep it for myself :o)

I just started a new job and my cubicle is extremely depressing. I need something artistic and inspiring to get me through each call!

Oh, well I definitely love all of it. The heavy lines are my favorite design element of it -- does that make it sort of art deco? I'm not sure but I love it!

We don't pay enough attention to what's given unconditionally - and your prints have tried to capture the beauty. Love your creativity :)

As always, excellent work! The thing that draws me to your work the most is the simplicity and use of great paper. The natural muted colors of the stock work great with with the lighter and metallic inks.

I love the flowers and fauna theme for the 2012 calendar--the screen printing gives these such great texture! I've always been thankful for a Curious Doodles calendar's ability to brighten any space, but this one is pretty enough to want to incorporate into my June wedding. Bravo!

I admire the inspiration for the calendar. I find it interesting that the simplicity of the design has such strong emphasis on the back ground subtle color. I love the solid and void approach for such intricate flora and fauna. I purchase handmade calendars for all of my friends for xmas each year. Fingers crossed I win one to enjoy myself! :) Thanks!
