We've been busy around here making new batches of coasters and trivets. I just loved the pattern they make when they are all laying out to dry. Aren't they pretty. 

Here I am sanding them so they are smooth to touch. I love this belt sander. It's the best.

Product Release: 2013 Matchbook Calendar

My new succulent matchbook calendar fits in your pocket. It features a detailed succulent paper cut on earthy paper. These are great stocking stuffers for loved ones that love plants, but always kill them. 

So, how does a matchbook calendar work? When you get to the end of a month tear or cut out the last month to reveal the current month in the front. Keep it in a pocket or on your desk.

Laser engraved Birth Announcement

This is a custom birth announcement that I designed for one of my family members. I was pleased with the end result so I wanted to share it with you. I used ponoko to do the laser-ing which cost around $60 for two of these. Not so cheap, but not too expensive either. Feel free to contact me if you would like me to do custom work for your next event.

DIY clock in the works...

This is a fun little project I've been working on. I realized I didn't have any clocks around the house. And I don't wear a watch, so it was time for me to make one. The clock is laser cut with one of my leafy patterns on birch plywood. I like the overall subtlety of the pattern versus the numbers.
