Happy Friday!

I thought this was so beautiful I had to take a snap shot of it. It's a test print thats been used over and over for several different jobs. The layering is spectacular. If you look closely, you can see my calendar prints mixed in there.

I really like the overall collage-organic-doodle-fabric-sketchbook feel of Hillery Rebeka Sporatt's work. I want to touch all of them! And after admiring them, I would like to pin them on my blouses. Be sure to check out her shop as well.

Duncan Johnson

Artist, Duncan Johnson, collects salvage wood from nearby his home in Vermont to make these lovely sculptures. Or should I call them paintings or quilts. I'm not sure. His art transcends many mediums and reminds me of traditional quilt making. Using scraps of whatever you have around to make something beautiful.



It reminds me of an idea I was exploring a while back with fused plastic quilt like pieces.

Beautiful affordable art by Trampoline.

Check out these gorgeous collaged Polaroids by trampoline. The muted color palette and subtlety of it all is really nice. They remind me of afternoon light coming in through my window. I first saw these via poppytalk.

Christopher Bettig

I am feeling very inspired by the work of Christopher Bettig today. In fact I think I may have a design crush. 

His design aesthetic aligns with the some of the stuff I've been wanting to experiment with lately- mostly using the sewing machine with found paper and scraps. I love the wallets at the top. They can  be purchased over at Pocketo. The use of negative space in the middle piece is quite graceful and powerful. 

Scrap Wood Furniture

I'm totally loving the raw aesthetic of these pieces by Piet Hein Eek. The collaged wood reminds me alot of my fused plastic pieces.

Fused Plastic Wristlet

I've been wanting to make a wristlet for awhile now. I made it so it fits the essentials (wallet, keys, phone, digital camera). It is working beautifully. This is the first project that I have put in a zipper by myself. I'm not sure if i did it right, but it seems to be working fine. Hooray! I will try to make some for the etsy shop soon.
