Renegade Recap and Happy New Year!
Big sigh. The holidays are over and I can calm down a bit. The holidays are most certainly the busiest time of year for CuriousDoodles. Put travel to California and Texas on top of that and you get a very quiet blog for a long time. But I survived, and I very hopeful that the new year will be full of good things. I want to spend more time learning how to sew clothes for myself this year. I am slightly intimidated by this type of sewing so I'm doing one project every month to get over my fears. I will try to share the triumphs and failures with you.

Thanks for a Successful Weekend at Crafty Wonderland
Thanks so much to all those folks who stopped by my booth at Crafty Wonderland. I really appreciate you! It was also amazing meeting a bunch of other talented artists this weekend. Thank you Darrell for all your help with the show. On a side note, congratulations to Liz for being the winner of my calendar giveaway. Now time to regroup and get ready for Renegade craft fair next weekend in San Francisco. Hope to see all my readers from the bay area there!

The Formal Artisan Fair
I will be doing one last holiday sale at the Acadian Ballroom On Alberta & 19th. I would recomend eggs bendict at Petite Provence, my favorite brunch spot in the NE, and then head across the street to the Acadian Ballroom for some last minute indie holiday shopping. There will be goodie bags for the first 100 customers.

Fun Vintage Stuff
My birthday is on Saturday so I treated myself to some awesome vintage stuff from Rerun, a local resale shop. Firstly, I found this incredible trunk with lots of character. The inside is lined with this vintagey green floral print and it will be perfect for selling at street fairs. I'm starting to have a pretty good collection of old suitcases.

I also found some really cute vintage fabrics. I can't wait to use these. I have some patchwork ideas in mind.

Can you even resist these cute drums!

And every collection needs alittle americana.
