Itty Bitty Embroidered Coin Clutch

While I was in Japan this past year I saw tons of squeal inducing miniature coin purses. I picked up one of these tiny kiss lock frames in Tokyo so I could try making one. I used a natural linen fabric for the outside and a vintage print on the liner. I gave this one to a very special friend for her birthday.

Info Graphic of Earthquakes in Japan

While I was traveling in Japan I saw this beautiful info graphic at The National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo's Ueno Park. It is a clever way of visualizing earthquakes that transcends any language barrier. Basically the dots represent the earthquakes. There are several layers of glass so you can see visualize the depth of each earthquake. Very well done and pretty to look at.

The Museum also had a plethora of visual inspiration for me, mostly beautiful things found in nature. I definitely recommend visiting if you are in Tokyo.

DIY Japanese Stab Stitch Tutorial

I'm pleased to share the latest DIY tutorial featuring Maeve Rogers of Color Theory. I love using this method for journals because it fairly simple to do and it has a really nice clean appearance. The supplies are minimal so It can be a really affordable project for those of us trying to save money.

Special thanks to Natalia Daniels for helping out with this one.

Postalco

This is the most handsome stationary I've seen in a long time. The pattern is inspired from traditional Japanese geometry. Everything seems so well considered and well made. Check out Postalco here. They have many more accessories to offer.
